These are some of my brick walls. While I believe in volunteers and help free online (I give it myself!),
there are some cases where paying for someone's effort is worth it. I'm willing to pay good money to break
these brick walls. If you want to help, please contact me at

Krzewinski Family First Name(s): Joseph, Frances nee Kochanny, Bernard, Leon, Elizabeth, Helena, John, Leokadya, Frances M. Married Name: Krzewinski Maiden Name: Frances was Kochanny (or similar spelling) US Location: Bay City, Michigan (St. Stanislaus church) Overview: Joseph and Frances Krzewinski came to the USA about 1885. Family said Joseph was an overseer on a farm owned by a Germany family. Joseph was a Prussian soldier and received the bronze cross for participating in the Battle of Koniggratz. The strongest information I have is from Bernard's daughter who said her father was from Grudziadz. Also, Frances Kochanny's (Joseph's wife Frances) cemetery record says she was born in Zachud or Zasbod? I want to find a record from Poland (e.g. parish record, civil record) that verifies that Joseph, Bernard and family came from a certain town or village. Key Documents:
Tips: I think finding the Krzewinski passenger list would be productive, but I have been able to find that anywhere yet. |
